The Avery Advocate July 12, 1928

	Johnny Thomas of Cranberry, quietly passed away Thursday morning, July 
fifth, about 9 o’clock, after a long spell of sickness.  He was afflicted with 
tuberculosis, which took him at the early age twenty-one.  His body was laid to 
rest n the cannon Cemetery at Elk Valley Friday morning.  
	Besides a wife he leaves a mother, two sisters, one brother and other 
near relatives and a host of friends to mourn his departure.
