The automobile in which Mr. Thompson was riding was swerving in the road as a car from behind came up an attempted to pass him, it was reported. It then turned over down a slight embankment pinning Mr. Thompson underneath. Funeral services were held at the home Tuesday at 3 P.M. and burial was in the Thompson Cemetery near Spear. Mr. Thompson leaves his wife Mrs. Nora Thompson, three sons, Arthur, Dodge and Ray Thompson, his father P.L. Thompson of Greensboro, two brothers, Bryon and K.C. Thompson of Greensboro and Spruce Pine and two sisters, Mrs. Mamie Green and Mrs. Lockie Robbins of Greensboro.
