AVERY COUNTY, NC - OBITUARIES - Gladys Turbyfill, 11 Oct 2002

GLADYS TURBYFILL
BANNER ELK - Gladys Turbyfill, 68, died Friday, Oct. 11, 2002, at a 
local hospital. She was the daughter of the late Howeard and Frankie 
Fox Moody. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Chester Moody. 
She was a member of Banner Elk Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, Bill Turbyfill of the home; two daughters, 
Taunia Denise Erno of Linville, and Jeanette Lorene Burleson of Banner 
Elk; five sisters, Nancy Laws of Johnson City, TN, Betty Strictland of 
Charleston, SC, Helen Ferguson and Marlene McCrowskey, both of Dalton, 
GA, and Joan Holloway of Ellijay, GA; and two granddaughters.
Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Sunday in the Grindstaff Memorial 
Chapel of Webb Funeral Home. Revs. Don Iverson and Gary Edwards 
officiated. burial was in Heaton Cemetery. The family received friends 
one hour prior to the service. Memorial donations may be made to the 
American Heart Association.
