AVERY COUNTY, NC - OBITUARIES - Daisy Maxine Trivett, 15 Mar 2004 ----¤¤¤---- Daisy Maxine Trivett, 81, Main St., Hampton, died Monday, March 15, 2004 at her residence following an extended illness. She was a native of Avery County, N.C. but has lived in Carter County most of her life. Mrs. Trivett was a daughter of the late Nelson and Alice Pruett Davis. She attended Long Hollow Missionary Baptist Church, but was a member of Beech Mountain Baptist Church, Beech Mountain, N.C. and was a homemaker. Mrs. Trivett was preceded in death by her husband, Arlie Ray Trivett, in 1990; two sons, Bernard Trivett and Horton Ray Trivett, and one grandson, Timothy Ray Trivett. Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Jessie Lee and George Lambert, Butler; Genevieve Greenwell, of Detroit, Mich.; Eula Belle and Owen Alec Barger, of Portage, Ind.; five sons and five daughters-in-law, Bobby James Trivett, of Hampton; Ferrell and Susan Trivett, of Crown Point, Ind.; William "Bill" and Marilyn Trivett, Hampton; Dennis and Sharon Trivett, Hampton; Linzy Reed and Carolyn Trivett, of Wilmington, N.C.; one daughter-in-law, Linda Trivett, of Merrillville, Ind.; a foster daughter, Donna and Robert Pearson, Hampton; one sister, Mabel Clawson, Elizabethton; four brothers, Kenneth Davis, Parks Davis, and Dempsey Davis, all of Newport News, Va., and Raymond Davis, Monticello, Ind.; special companion "Baby Dog"; 27 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; six step grandchildren, and 12 step great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive. The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 17, 2004 in the Chapel of Peace of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Rev. Dean Presnell, Rev. Russell Potter, and Rev. Edward Davis officiating. The burial will follow at Trivett Cemetery, Elk Park, North Carolina. Active pallbearers will be Roger Trivett, Gregory Trivett, Steve Trivett, Shane Lambert, Patrick Trivett, Brian Trivett, Mike Blevins, and Greg Barger. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe White, Sam Harrison, Dr. Wesley Hanson, Stephen Pate, Jeff Trivett, Keith Trivett, Jeff Trivett, Bobby Joe Trivett, Kenneth Trivett, friends and neighbors. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 16, 2004 in the Chapel of Peace of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, or other times at the residence, 621 Main St., Hampton.
