Webb Killed W.H. Webb, about 50 years old, was instantly killed at four o’clock Sunday afternoon, when his automobile plunged over a bridge near Topton. Miteheli Hawk, who was also in the car was painfully but not seriously injured. Persons who saw the accident from a distance, stated that Mr. Webb was apparently driving at a low rate of speed and had just passed another automobile. There was apparently a cause for missing the bridge, they stated. Mr. Webb was an experienced driver, but had purchased a new automobile the day before. The deceased was mill foreman for the Andrews Hardwood Company and was highly respected in this community. His body was taken to a local undertaking establishment where it was held pending funeral arrangements and arrival of relatives. He is survived by a daughter, who lives in Ohio, and a son in Asheville--- Andrews correspondent for Asheville Citizen. Mr. Webb was at one time a resident here.
