AVERY COUNTY, NC - OBITUARIES - Gladys Dellinger Wise, 4 Jul 2005

NEWLAND - Gladys Dellinger Wise, 82, of Yelton Lane, died Monday, July 4,
2005. She was the daughter of the late Bob and Jane Burleson Dellinger, and
husband of the late Frank Wise. A homemaker, she attended Mt. Calvary Freewill
Baptist Church.

Survivors include four daughters, Lou Ann Elliott and Doris Freeman, both of
Spruce Pine, Lois Frye of Asheville, and Louise Yelton of Newland; two sons,
Frank Wise Jr. of Spruce Pine, and Kenneth Wise of Marion; 11 grandchildren;
and 12 great grandchildren. 

Funeral services were held at 8 p.m. Wednesday at Mt. Calvary FWB Church.
Revs. Marvin Sheets, Brett Jones, Buck Watson and Allen Laws officiated.
Burial was at 11 a.m. Thursday in Pittman Cemetery on Henson Creek Road. The
family received friends from 6 p.m. until the service hour Wednesday at the
funeral home. Henline-Hughes Funeral Home in Bakersville was in charge of
arrangements.
