MAE WISEMAN
NEWLAND - Mae Wiseman, of Three Mile Highway, died Monday, Sept. 2, 
2002 at her residence. A native of Yancey County, she was the daughter 
of the late John and Mary Wyatt Grindstaff, and wife of the late Joe 
Wiseman. She was a member of White's Memorial Baptist Church, and a 
member of Spruce Pine Chapter #27 Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include five daughters, JoAnn Garrison of Atlanta, GA, Cleo 
Greene of Spruce Pine, Brenda Wiseman of Kennesaw, GA, Shirley Goforth 
of Lake Norman and Helen Blankenship of Jacksonville, FL; one sister, 
Ruth Turner of Charlotte; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Grindstaff 
Memorial Chapel of Webb Funeral Home in Spruce Pine. Revs. Steve 
Williams, Greg Hollifield and R.M. Cassity officiated. Burial was in 
Pine Grove Memorial Church Cemetery. The family received friends from 
7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeralhome.
