AVERY COUNTY, NC - OBITUARIES - William Woody, 16 Apr 2004

VALDESE - William Woody, 82, of High Peak Valley Road, died Friday, 
Apr. 16, 2004 at Valdese General Hospital. A native of Avery County, 
he was the son of the late Isaac and Lydia Ollis Woody, and husband 
of the late Krystine Davis Woody. He was also preceded in death by 
sons, Richard Clay and J.C. Woody; four brothers; and three sisters. 
He was a WWII veteran of the U. S. Army.

Survivors include a son, Roger Woody of Dickson, TN; daughters, Nora 
Queen of Valdese, and Lola Woody of Supply; sisters, Byrd Woody and 
Maude Warren, both of Spruce Pine; four grandchildren; and two great 
grandchildren.
