The Avery Advocate February 9, 1928
Mr. W.W. Avery, who was important factor in the development of the mineral 
interests of Avery county died at the hospital in Spartanburg  last Friday 
night and was buried at home Monday.  We will have an article about Mr. Avery 
in our next issue.
