YOUNG MOULTRIE, GA – Dewayne G. Young, 66, died Sunday, April 21, 2002. A native of Avery County, he was the son of the late Ford and Celia Young. He was a member of Heritage Church, a United States Air Force veteran and was employed by Oakwood Homes. Survivors include his wife, Delores Schooler Young; sons, David Young of Mobile, AL, and Douglas Young of Croton, OH; daughters, Dana Moss and Becki Roberts of Winchester, Rhonda young of Nicholasville, Lana Beason of Ringgold, GA, Dalena West of Moultrie, and Bobbi Hart of Baton Rouge, LA; three brothers, Dalaney Young of Canton, OH, Dwight Young of English, IN, and Larry Young of Bakersville; four sisters, Marlene Ayers, Nora Nell Jarrett and Velma Sturgill, all of Bakersville, and Carolyn Johnson of Conley, GA, and 19 grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. at the Harrell-Faircloth Funeral Home in Moultrie. Revs. David Oakes and Roy Reeves officiated. Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Claremont Memorial Gardens in Kentucky.
