This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by: Gerry Seymour Apr. 1999 ======================================================================== Deed: ALLEN ATKINSON TO JOHN BUCK This Indenture made this sixth day of January Eighteen Hundred nineteen between Allen Atkinson of the Couty of Pitt and State of North Carolina of the one part & John Buck of the county of Beaufort and State afsd of the other part Witnesseth, that for an in consideration of the sum of two hundred fifty dollars to me in hand paid by the said John Buck the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, doth give grant bargain Sell and deliver unto the said John Buck his heirs and assigns a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the County of Beaufort, & bounded as follows beginning at a pine formerly James Cobb's decd corner, running north eighty degrees east three hundred & twenty pole up a large branch to a pine in the head of said branch, then South forty degrees east one hundred and sixty pole in a pocoson to a gum, then south eighty degrees West three hundred and twenty pole down the pocoson to a gum & then to the first Station, containing by estimation three hundred acres be the same more or less. To have and to hold the above granted premises with all the appurtenances & advantages belonging to the same and I the said Allen Atkinson doth for myself, my heirs & assigned warrant & defend the said Tract of Land into John Buck his heirs and assigns for ever against the lawful claim of any person or persons whatever. In Witness whereof I the said Allen Atkinson doth hereunto set my Hand and Seal, day and date above written.
