Beaufort County

Know all men by these presents that we Frederick Barrow Lewis Blount David 
Gibbs & Hugh McCullough of the County and State afsd for and in consideration 
of the sum of Three Thousand Dollars to us in hand paid by Henry S. Latham the 
receipt whereof we do acknowledge have bargained and Sold and by these 
presents do bargain and sell and convey unto Henry S. Latham a certain piece 
or parcel of Land Situate in the County afsd on the great Savanah and lines of 
Seth Hovey and John M Harvy containing by Estimation One hundred and fifty 
acres be the same more or less including all the lands where Jesse Latham 
formerly lived which was bought by Seth Hovey at Sheriff Sale — To have and to 
hold the above bargained premises to Henry S. Latham his heirs and assigns 
togeth with all appurtenances thereunto belonging We warrating and defending 
all of the rights titles Claims & Interest in the same from ourselves our 
heirs and assigns forever — Witness we have hereunto set our hands and seals 
this 6th day Jany 1821

State of North Carolina February Term Court of Pleas & Quarter Sessions for 
the County of Beaufort Then was this deed from Frederick Barrow, Lewis Blount, 
David Gibbs & Hugh McCullough to Henry S. Latham proven in open court by the 
oath of Henry H. Selby one of the Subscribing witnesses thereto. Therefore let 
it be Registered.
