Beaufort County, NC - Lewis Blount to Robert Godley Senr, 1811 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Know all men by these presents that I Lewis Blount of the County of Beaufort and State of North Carolina for and in Consideration of the sum of two Hundred dollars in hand paid by Robert Godley Senr of the County & State afsd before the signing & Sealing and delivering of these presents have have bargained sold & delivered and by these presents do bargain sell & deliver Unto the said Robert Godley Senr his heirs and assigns forever a certain Negro woman Slave called Hannah Aged about forty years which said Negro woman Slave, I the said Lewis Blount do by these presents bind & oblige myself my heirs, Executors & Administrators to Warrant and forever defend unto the Said Robert Godley his heirs or assigns forever, In Witness Whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 28th day of March 1811.
