All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/nc/ncfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Kathy Wilde wildekat@hotmail.com November 7, 2005, 2:01 am Written: November 9, 1801 Recorded: June 1819 This Indenture made and entered into the ninth day of November in the Year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred & one Between Henry Snoad Bonner of the County of Beaufort and State of North Carolina on the one part and William Hodges of the County of Pitt and State aforesaid on the other part; Witnesseth, that the said Henry S Bonner for an in consideration of the sum of one hundred & fifty pounds to him in hand paid by the said William Hodges before the sealing & delivery of these presents the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge and himself therewith fully satisfid contented and paid Hath bargained Sold conveyed and confirmed and do by this presents bargain Sell convey & confirm unto the said William Hodges his hiers & assigns forever a certan tract or parcel of Land lying and being in the said county of Beaufort on the North Side of Moss Bever dam begining at a Read Oak Snoads corner running his home line to the mch [?] branch then up the run of said branch to a pine in said branch then with a line of Marked trees which said marked line is the dividing betwen said William Hodges and James Hodges to a small branch to the run thereof then with the said branch to the bever dam then down the run of the said biver dam swamp to a Cyprass on said line of said Pattent then with the patent line No 60 east 74 poles to the begining containing by estimation one hundred & fifty acres be the same more or less; To have and to hold the above mentioned premises togeather with all & singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging unto him the said William Hodges his heirs & assigns forever and I the said Henry S. Bonner for myself my heirs Execurs & Adms doth and will warrant and will forever defend the above mentioned premises unto him the said William Hodges his hiers and assigns forever against the Lawfull claim or claims of all persons whatsoever. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & Seal the day & date above written. H S Bonner Signd Seald & delivd in presence of Godfrey Williams Jas Hodges June 1819 Beaufort County Court Then the execution of the within Deed from Henry S Bonner to William Hodges was proved in court by the oath of Godfrey Williams a subscribing witness thereto let it be Registered.
