Beaufort County, NC - Deeds File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by Carl Langford Book 17, page 171 26 Jan 1832 This Indenture made this 26th day of January in the year of our Lord 1832 one thousand eight hundred & thirty-two between STARKY WALLIS & THOMAS L. WARTERS Executors of THOMAS WALLIS deceased of the one part and RODNEY BAYNER of the other part witness to that for and in consideration of the sum of thirty nine dollars & fifty cents to the Said STARKY WALLIS paid by the Said RODNEY BAYNER at or before the sealing and delivery of these present the receipt whereof they do hereby acknowledge and therefore doth release acquit discharge the said RODNEY BAYNER his executors, administrators, by these present. We the Said STARKY WALLIS & THOMAS L. WARTERS granted, bargained, sold unto the Said RODNEY BAYNER and his heirs a certain piece of land situated lying and being in the County of Beaufort on the North side of Pamlico River and on the East side of Long Acre ridge, Beginning at a Red Oak running thence North one hundred poles to a Cypress, then East Eighty poles to a white oak standing in the Pecosin, thence North one hundred poles to a poplar, then West to the beginning. We the aforesaid STARKY WALLIS & THOMAS L. WARTERS ..........and our heirs executors, administrators & aforesigns forever will warrant and defend unto the Said RODNEY BAYNER and his heirs the above bargained land & promises.
