Beaufort County, NC - Deeds File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by Gerry Seymour JOHN BUCK TO MATTHEW KELLY This Indenture made this twenty ninth day of July Eighteen hundred & twenty five between John Buck of the County of Beaufort & State of North Carolina of the one part and Matthew Kelly of the County of Beaufort & State aforesaid and of the other part Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred & fifty dollars to me in hand paid by the said Matthew Kelly the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged doth give grant bargain sell & deliver unto the said Matthew Kelly his heirs & assigns a certain tract or parcel of land lying & being in the County of Beaufort and bounded as follows. Beginning at a pine formerly James Cobb dec'd and running North Eighty degrees East three hundred & twenty poles a large branch to a pine in the head of said branch, then South forty degrees East One hundred & sixty poles in a pocoson to a gum, then South eighty degrees West three hundred & twenty poles down the pocoson to a gum and then to the first station containing by estimation Three hundred Acres be the same more or less. To have and to hold the above granted premises with all the appurtenances and advantages belonging to the same and I the said John Buck doth for myself my heirs & assigns warrant & defend the said tract of land unto Matthew Kelly his heirs and assigns forever against the lawful claim of any person or persons whatsoever. In Witness whereof I the said John Buck doth hereunto set my hand & Seal day & date above written.
