Be it known that I John Buck, son of said James Buck and the only acting Executor to his last Will did agreeable to the said will did advertise and on the 10th day of September last proceed to sell with many other articles of his property two parcels of Land belonging to the Estate of James Buck (to wit) being in No. Carolina and Beaufort County and in the Long neck of Chicod beginning at a Stake in Reading Blounts line and with his line No. 120 poles to a Lightwood stump his corner then west 30 poles to Blounts line then with his line No. 130 pole to a pine his corner. Then east 36 poles to said Blounts line to a Juniper in the Swamp then with the said line South 17 East 26 poles to a Bay in the Swamp then west 95 pole to the Beginning for 75 acres being part of a tract granted to Reading Blount dated 13th October 1783 and sold by Blount to Thos. Smith and from Smith to Isaac Edwards and Edwards to James Buck the 2nd. Beginning at a Lightwood Stump Edwards 2nd corner and Runs south 120poles to a Stake then West 160 poles then North 120 poles to a pine and from Thence to the Beginning it being part of a tract granted to Reading Blount and by him deeded to Isaac and Emanuel Edwards and by them deeded to James Buck which Lands were bought by Fredrick Grist for the Sum of Eight Five Pounds ten Shillings and be it further Known that I the said John Buck as acting Executor to the last will of my Father do bind myself and the Estate of my Decd Father to warrant Defend unto the said Fredrick Grist his Heirs Executors administrators and assigns the above Mentioned Lands against the Lawful claims of any person or persons whatever. In witness whereof I the said John Buck have hereunto set my hand and seal this 9th day October 1801 A.D 1801 and the Independence of the United Stated the 25.
