This Indenture made this first day in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twelve (1812). Between THOMAS WALLIS Sen. of the County of Beaufort State of North Carolina of the one part and JONATHAN WALLIS of the County and state aforesaid son of the Said THOMAS WALLIS Sen. of the other part. Witness to that the Said THOMAS WALLIS Sen. as well for and in consideration of the naturel love and affection which hath and bestoweth unto the Said JONATHAN WALLIS his son as also for the better maintenance and preferment of the Said JONATHAN WALLIS hath given granted alined enfeoffed and confirmed and by their presents doth give grant alined enfeoffed and confirmed unto the Said JONATHAN WALLIS all that messuage or tenements lying and being in the County of Beaufort and on the North side of Pamlico River and in long acre - Beginning at a line of marked trees on my own line running South 24 ___ to a pine thence South 2 west Eighty poles from thence an East corse a cross the Ridge to the back line thence to the middle of the low ground to JOHN HARRIS line and thence West with Said Harris line to his corner standing on the side of the main ridge thence with Harris line Easterly to a line of marker trees and from thence westerly with the line of marked trees to the first station with all and singular its appurtenances and all houses out houses land ___ and the revision and revisions, remainder and remainders, Rents and services of the Said promises and all the Estate right with Interest properly claim and demand whatsoever of him the Said THOMAS WALLIS Sen. of and to the messuage or document lands and premisis and of - in and to every part and parcel thereof with the appurtenances and all Deeds Evidences and Witnessess concerning the Said principles only now in the hands or custoday of the Said THOMAS WALLIS or which he my get or come by without seal in law To have and to hold the Said messuage or tenement lands and promises huely forever and granted or mentioned or intended to forever and granted unto the Said JONATHAN WALLIS his heirs and aforesigns to the only proper use and be proof of him the Said JONATHAN WALLIS his heirs and aforesigns forever and the Said THOMAS WALLIS for himself his heirs Executors Administrators doth parment and grant to and with the Said JONATHAN WALLIS his heirs and afore sign by these presents that he the Said JONATHAN WALLIS his heirs and aforesign shall and lawfully may have henceforth forever hereafter peaceable and quietly have hold and occupy ___ and enjoy the Said messuage tenement lands hereditaincuts and premises hereby given granted or mentioned or intended so to be with their appurtenances per clear and discharged of and from all former and other gifts grants bargain and said feoffments so inters do every Estates Entails Rents Charges averages of rent and of and from all other fitly troubled charges and encumbrances whatsoever had made committed do in or differed or to be had made committed done or suffered by him the Said THOMAS WALLIS Sen. his heirs Executors or administrators or any other person or persons lawfully claiming or to claim by person or under him there or any or either of them in witness whereof I have set to my hand and seal the day and date above written.
