All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/nc/ncfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Kathy Wilde wildekat@hotmail.com November 12, 2005, 8:33 pm Written: July 10, 1806 Recorded: June 1811 State of North Carolina Beaufort County July 10th, 1806 In Obedience to an Order of the Superior Court of Newbern district, I have surveyed and laid off for the heirs of Walter Allen dec'd Six hundred and forty acres of land in the County afsd on the South side of Pamptico River, and south side .[blank] and on Chocowinaty swamp, contained in two Patents the One granted to Lazarus Pierce for 250 Acres bearing date 23 day of May 1757 the Other granted to George Pearce for 289 acres bearing date the 21st day of October 1732 and have divided the same into two Lotts as the above plan represents distinguished by Lotts No 1 and 2, first begining at a marked tree on the run of Chocowinaty Swamp, the mouth of horsepen branch running South 41 W 62 poles to a bay tree on the run of said branch thence up the same its Various Courses, to a marked White Oak, formerly Harris then Pearces, now Grists corner, thence with Pearces line S 40 E two hundred & seventy pole to Joe's Branch, then with the run thereof down the same its Various Courses to the run of Chocowinaty Swamp thence down the same with its various courses to the Begining, containing 324 acres. Seconde lott, begining at Joes Branch, where the other corner in Pierce's line, and runs S 40 E 40 poles to Heris and Peirce's Corner, then N 70 E 21 poles to a pine, then N 35 E 136 poles Lazarus Pearces Line, then with the same S 45 E52 poles to Yellow Clay branch, then down the same its Various Courses to the run of Chockowinety Swamp, then down the same its Various courses to the mouth of Joe's Branch and up the same the Various courses thereof to the Begining, containing 332 Acres.
