Mason http://www.genrecords.net/emailregistry/vols/00023.html#0005630 February 14, 2019, 5:04 pm Written: 1811 Register of Deeds Office Beaufort County, NC Bk. 9, p. 78 William HOOTEN of Hyde Co., land from dec’d Father Caleb HOOTEN to Jonathan MARSH of Beaufort Co., NC 21 May 1811 Know all men by these presents, that I, William HOOTEN of the County of Hyde And State of North Carolina for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred & thirty six Spanish Mill dollars to me in hand paid by Jonathan MARSH of the county of Beaufort & State aforesaid the payments whereof I do hereby acknowledge myself to have dec’d contented with and fully satisfied, have bargained, sold alined, conveyed and issued unto the said Jonathan MARSH his heirs forever, all my rights title and interests in and to an undivided tracts of 118 & 1/3 acres of land, being on Eleventh of a tracts of land of 1275 acres which my Father Caleb HOOTEN, died, seized and possessed of lying and being on the Waters of South Creek & Fork Creek. Which said Land I do convey as aforesaid to the said Jonathan MARSH his Heirs and assigns forever. to have and to hold the said undivided tracts of 118 1/3 acres, with all the improvements and appurtenances thereto belonging or in anywise appertaining , Which said tracts of One Hundred & Eighteen & one thirds. I do for myself my Heirs, Executors and administrators & assigns. To the said Jonathan MARSH, his Heirs, Executors, Admrs. and assigns forever Warrant & defends as well from myself as from the claim or claims of all and every other person Whatsoever, In witness whereof I have hereunto annexed my hand & affixed my seal this 21st day of May, Anno Domino 1811.
