Beaufort County, NC - Indenture File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by Carl Langford Book 30, Page 208 - 209 31 Dec 1856 State of North Carolina, Beaufort County This Indenture made this thirty first day of December 1856 between STARKY WALLACE of the one part and LEVEN OSBOURN of the other part both of the County of Beaufort and State afore said witness unto that I the Said STARKY WALLACE for and, and inconsideration of the sum of Sixty dollars to me in hand paid by the Said LEVEN OSBOURN on or before the ensealing and delivery of these present here given, granted bargained and Sold a certain part or parcel of land unto the Said LEVEN OSBOURN to him his heirs and aforesigns forever, lying and being in the County of Beaufort on the East side of LONG ACRE RIDGE, butted and bounded as follows, Beginning at George Harris s' corner, a pine standing on the east side of Long Acre Ridge and in Thomas McKezos' line, running east with Said Harris's line to the back line of THOMAS WALLACE'S patent - thence with Said Wallaces' back line to a line of marked trees, thence with Said line of marked trees to Thomas McKezo's line, thence with Said McKezos line to the first station. Containing twenty three acres be the same more or less. Which binds and promises I the Said STARKY WALLACE do warrant and forever defend from myself, my heirs and afore signs forever or any lawful claims of any person or persons whatsoever, unto the Said Leven Osbourn to him his heirs executors and aforesigned administrators forever.
