Know all men by these presents that whereas an order of Court did issue from 
the County Court of Beaufort directed to James Latham Executor of Henry Adams 
Decd to a sell a negro girl named Silvey the property of the said Adams for to 
pay the debts of the said Adams, after being advertised agreeable to Law the 
said Executor did set up the said Silvey to be sold.  Zacheriah Boyd being 
present did bid Two hundred and twelve dollars & ten cents for which sum the 
said girl was struck off to him the said Zacheriah Boyd, I James Latham 
Executor in consideration of the sum of two hundred twelve dollars & ten cents 
to me in hand paid by Zacheriah Boyd of Beaufort County as and before the 
sealing and delivering of these presents the receipt whereof I do hereby 
acknowledge, have bargained, sold, released, granted & confirmed and by these 
presents do bargain, sell, release, grant & confirm unto the said Zack Boyd to 
have & to hold all and singular the right to the said Silvey as full as I the 
said James Latham Executor have it in my power to convey a right by virtue of 
my Executorship — which girl I do warrant and defend against the lawful claim 
or claims of any person whatsoever as fully as lies in my power by virtue of 
my being Executor. Unto Zacheriah Boyd him his heirs Executors or any of them 
or as many of them.  In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal 
this fifteenth day of November One thousand Eight hundred thirteen.

August Term 1824  Then the within Bill of Sale from James Latham to Zacheriah 
Boyd was acknowledged in open Court by said Latham, let it be Registered.
