Beaufort County
Written: August 18, 1820
Recorded: May 1821

This indenture made this eighteenth Day of August in the Year of our lord one 
thousand eight hundred and twenty Between William Lee and his Wife Milly Lee 
of the one part and Henry Resspass of the other part this parties all of the 
county Beaufort and state of North Carolina witnesseth that for and in 
consideration of the Sum of Sixty Seven Dollars and fifty cents to us in hand 
paid by the sd Henry Resspes that the Said Wm Lee and his Wife Milly Lee doth 
bargain Sell convey and confirm unto the Said Henry Resspess and his heirs and 
assigns forever a cirtain piece or parcel of Land lying and being in the 
County of Beaufort the Receipt whereof we do Acknowledge that we are fully 
Satisfied contented and paid containing twenty Seven Acres More or less 
Beginning at a Tarkiln bed and the division Line between Thomas Topping 
Johnathan Gurganus near the Savanah Runing South South 35 East 72 pole to the 
division line between Wm Lee and Polly Gurganus thence with Said division Line 
No. 39 East 78 pole to the back line of Johnothan Gurganus Lan with the back 
line 74 pole to the corner of Thomas Topping & Johnothan Gurganus thence So 35 
Wt 92 to the first Station to the same more or Less we the Said William Lee 
and Milly Lee his wife doth forever warrant and Defend the Said twenty Seven 
acres be the same More of less to the said Henry Resppess his heirs and 
assigigns forever free from the claim of us or our heirs or any other person 
or persons whatever Within Said boundarys In witness whereof we the Said 
William Lee and Milly Lee hath here unto set our hands  Sealed on the date 
above written
