All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/nc/ncfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Kathy Wilde wildekat@hotmail.com October 30, 2005, 8:32 pm Buckpoint Land Written: February 28, 1822 Recorded: May 1822 This Indenture made the Twenty eighth day of Fredury Eighteen hundred and Twenty two between Richard Grist Executor of Slade Pearce deceased, and Joseph Pearce of the County of Beaufort & State of North Carolina of the first part, and William A Blount of the County of Beaufort & State aforesaid of the second part Witnesseth that the said Richard Grist by Virtue of power vested in him by the Last Will and Testament of Slade Pearce decd & the said Joseph Pearce for and in consideration of Forty Five dollars to them in hand paid by the said William A Blount the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained & Sold and by these presents the said Richard Grist doth grant bargain & Sell unto the Said William A Blount his heirs executors administrators and assigns all the right title and interest of the said Slade Pearce in and to a certain piece of parcel of Land Situate lying and being in the County of Beaufert on the South side of Pamplico River and West Side of Blounts Creek known by the name of the Buckpoint Land, Patented by Edmund Pearce 13th November 1735, Beginning at a Lightwood Stump Running from thence South Twenty Five West one hundred & Seventy pole to a pine, than South Twenty East One hundred & Sixty pole to a pine then North Seventy five East thirty pole to a pine, then with a Straight line to the first station to contain one hundred acres and the said Joseph Pearce doth grant bargain and sell unto the said William A Blount his heirs executors administrators and assigns all the right title and interest of the said Joseph in and to the above discribed land with all the priviledge hereditaments and emoluments thereunto belonging or in any wise appurtaining, To have and to hold unto the Said William A Blount his heirs executors adms and assigns the above described tract of Land with all and Singular the hereditaments and emoluments thereunto belonging or in any wise appurtaining forever and the said Richard Grist doth hereby warrant and defend the above bargained premises unto the Said William A Blount his heirs extrs adms and assigns against all and every person or persons whatsoever claiming by through or under the Said Grist and no further and the said Joseph Pearce for himself his heirs execs and adms doth warrant and defend the above described premises against all and every person or persons claiming by through or under the said Joseph Pearce unto the Said William A Blount his heirs executors & administrators or assigns In testimony whereof the said Richard Grist Executor as aforesaid and the Said Joseph Pearce have hereunto set their hands and seals the date above written.
