State of No Carolina
Beaufort County

Know all men by these presents that I John Salter of the one part and Richd H 
Bonner of the other part both of the county and State afsd witnesseth that I 
the Said John Salter of the first part hath for and inconsideration of the sum 
of Two Hundred Dollars to me in hand paid by the Said Richd H Bonner of the 
Second part before the signing Sealing & delivring of these presents the 
receipt whereof  I do hereby acknowledge have bargaind and sold and doth by 
these presents bargain and Sell unto the Said Richd H Bonner his heirs and 
assigns for ever a certain Negro man by the name of Moses aged about thirty 
three years Yellow complexion. Which negro man fell to me by the will of the 
late Wm Daily now I the Said John Salter do for my self my heirs executors 
admrs warrant and forever defend the above named negro man Moses unto him the 
Said Richd H Bonner his heirs and assigns free and clear from all manner of 
Incumbrances whatsoever unto him the Said R H Bonner his heirs and assigns 
forever in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this 27 of 
Octr 1828.

Beaufort Co of Please and Qr Sessions Nov Term 1828  the within Bill of Sale 
from John Salter to RH Bonner was exibited & provd in Court by the Oath of SV 
Smaw a witness thereto let it be Registerd.
