Witnesseth that the sd Robt S. Salter for and in consideration of the sum of One hundred dollars to him in hand paid by the said James S Salter the receipt whereof the said Robt S. Salter doth hereby acknowledge hath given granted bargaind and Sold and by these presents doth give grant bargain & Sell and by these presents do give grant Bargain and Sell unto the Said James S. Salter his heirs and assigns for ever, all his Interest in a certain Tract of Land Situate lying and being in the County of Beaufort & State of North Carolina, on the east Side of Creeping Swamp adjoining the Lands of Henry Harding Lial [Uriah] Edwards and others. Which said land was pattented by John Salter in the year One Thousand Eight Hundred and from him decended to his Lawful heirs, the said Robt’s interest of which is estimated at One hundred acres and also all the woods ways water & water courses and all and every appertainances thereunto belonging with all the estate right title interest and claim whatsoever of the said Robt S. Salter to the land hereby granted to have and to hold the Said Interest of the said Robert S. Salter to the said tract of land with its appertainances unto the sd. James S. Salter his heirs and assigns forever and the said Robt S. Salter doth hereby covenant and agree with James S. Salter his heirs and assigns to forever warrant and defend the said One Hundred acres of land against The claim or claims of any other person or persons whatsoever. In witness whereof the said Robt S. Salter hath hereunto Set his hand & affixd his Seal the day and year above written. Robt S. Salter Signd Seald and deliverd In presents of Edward Laughinghouse Mary Salter Nov Term 1825 of Beaufort County Court of Pleas & Quarter Sessions. Then was the within Deed from R S Salter to J. S.
