Be it known that I Robert Salter for and in consideration of the sum of eighty 
Dollars to me in hand paid by Israel Harding (both of the county of Beaufort & 
State of North Carolina) hath bargained & Sold & by these presents do bargain 
& Sell, transfer & Set over and to the said Israel Harding & his heirs & 
assigns forever, all that certain tract or parcel of land Situate lying and 
being in the County of Beaufort containing eighty acres more or less, within 
the following boundaries, begining at a pine at the mouth of a Small branch, 
the beginning of Nelsons deed to Smith & then South 65 east 180 pole to the 
Second line of the Patent then No. 55 East to the head of the Shingle branch, 
then with the branch to the Swamp, then with Chicod Swamp to the begining, 
being part of a patent Granted to Mathew Nelson for three hundred acres:  and 
I the said Robert Salter do hereby promise to Warrant & forever defend the 
title of the said land to the said Israel Harding and his heirs & assigns 
forever.
	In Witness whereof I the said Robert Salter hath hereunto Set my hand 
& Seal this twenty second day of January One thousand eight hundred & twenty 
five.

February Term 1825  Beaufort Co Pleas & Qr Sessions:  Then the execution of 
the within deed from Robert Salter to Israel Harding was proved by the Oath of 
Henry Harding a Subscribing witness thereto let it be registered.
