Original is filed in Deed Book 14, page 40, Beaufort County, NC SHADRICK WARREN TO HENRY WARREN This Indenture made and entered into the twenty Seventh of June One Thousand Eight Hundred Twenty Six between Shadrick Warren of the one part Beaufort County and State of North Carolina & Henry Warren of the county & State afsd of the other part witnesseth that I the said Shadrick Warren have for & in consideration of the Sum of One hundred & thirty Dollars to me in hand paid by sd Henry Warren bargained and sold & by these presents doth bargain & sell unto the d Henry Warren a certain piece or parcel of land lying and being in the sd county of Beaufort & on the South side of Tar River and West side of Chocowinity swamp beginning at a pine saplin or tree running South 87 West 77 poles then North 58 West 100 poles then North 19 East 100 poles then S. 88 deg. East 127 poles then with a direct line South to the beginning containing One hundred Twenty five acres of land be the same more or less the above mentioned land & premises & the said Shadrick Warren doth bind myself my heirs executors administrators and assigns to warrant and forever defend from the lawful claim or claims of any person or persons whatsoever to him the said Henry Warren his heirs executors administrators and assigns as witness whereof I the said Shadrick Warren have hereunto set me hand affixed my seal the day and date above written.
