Potts Badly Shocked. Washington, NC, Sept. 3 - Mr. Z.M. Potts, the manager of the local office of the Postal Telegraph Company, suffered a very severe electric shock during a thunderstorm a few days ago. It seems that he entered the office, and, finding the fuses red-hot, stopped to the board to cut out the wire by the insertion of a plug. Immediately there was a flash, and Mr. Potts was thrown violently across the room, rendering him unconscious for several hours. At the time there was no storm in this city, but one was raging further up the road, and the lightning must have traveled on the wires. Mr. Potts evidently must have touched some of the metal parts, thus completing the connection.
