ERNEST E. GRIFFIN

   Ernest E. Griffin, 82, died Tuesday night at the home of his daughter, Mrs. 
Rachel Jones, in Beale’s Court.

   He was the husband of the late Jennie Mixon Griffin and the son of the late 
Lawrence and Rachael Aldridge Griffin of North Carolina. He was a native of 
Aurora, N.C., and moved to Franklin about 10 months ago. He was a member of the 
Aurora Methodist Church.

   Besides his daughter here he is survived by four other daughters, Mrs. Alma 
Canady and Mrs. Myrtle Porter of Aurora, N.C., Mrs. Annie Moore of Wilmington, 
N.C., and Mrs. Beulah Austin of Pinetown, N.C.; two sons, W.R. Griffin and B.L. 
Griffin of Charlotte, N.C.; 25 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, a number 
of nieces and nephews and one half brother, L.R. Mays of Aurora, N.C.

   The body was removed from the Holland Funeral Home yesterday (Wednesday) to 
the Paul Funeral Home in Washington, N.C., where services will be conducted time 
to be announced later.
