The Standard of  Raleigh, Nov. 5, 1862
   DIED, recently, at his residence in Beaufort County, near Washington, 
FREDERICK GRIST ESQ. MR. GRIST formerly represented Beaufort in the Senate of 
the State. He was amiable and respected in all the relations of life. MR. 
GRIST had suffered a great loss at the hands of the enemy, and his troubles 
most probably shortened his life.
