Caleb HOOTEN of Beaufort Co., NC & Jacob DARDEN/DURDEN of Beaufort Co., NC

This Indenture made this 30th of Sept. 1795 between Caleb HOOTEN of the 
County of Beaufort & State of No. Carolina of the one part and Jacob DARDEN 
of the same place of the other part. Witnesseth that for & in consideration 
of the sum of Fifty Pounds to him in hand paid by Jacob DARDEN, the receipt 
is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained & sold & confirmed to the said 
Jacob DURDEN his heirs & assigns a certain parcel of land containing twenty 
five acres of land be it more or less, northerly on the Savannah, Westerly 
on Nathan ARCHBELL, Southerly on Elish EBORN and Easterly on the Glebe, all 
& singular the appurtenances thereto belonging unto the said Jacob DURDEN 
him his heirs & assigns forever against him the said HOOTEN his heirs & 
against all other persons shall & will warrant & defend by these presents.
As witness my hand & seal the day & year above written.
