Courthouse Will Book OW Pages 78-79 State of North Carolina Beaufort County I John B Bonner of the County of Beaufort and State afrd being weak of body, but of a sound and disposing mind and memory do, this twentyeighth day of January one thousand eight hundred and Seventy one, make and ordain this my last Will and Testament, in manner and form as follows viz. Item-I loan unto my beloved wife Mary all my property of whatever nature or description it may consist, To have and to hold during her life, She my said wife using a sufficiency of Said property to raise and educate my children, and to change any property so loaned, which She may deem necessary for the welfare of herself and my children. Item it is my further will and desire that my said wife have the privilege of making a Will of the property herein loaned to her, and to bequeath the same to be equally divided among my children, so far as she may approve of their course of life, and in case any of my said children should conduct themselves improperly, that it is my desire that my said wife divide his or her share in portion among the rest of the brothers and sisters of that one, Item It is further my will and desire that my said wife Mary have the powers and privilege of disjoining of all the property by will contained or maintained in the marriage contract between us to such of our children as she many think proper. Item It is my will and I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my beloved wife Mary, whole and sole executiiz to this my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all other Wills made by me.
