I, Griffith Lewis of Not. Carolina in the County of Bath, plantor, being very sick and weak in body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be given to allmighty God therefore calling to mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appoined for all men once to die do make and ordain this my last will and testament, that is to say principally and first of all I give and recommend my soul unto the hands of God that gave it and for my body and for my body I recommend it to the eart to be buried in a Christian like and decent manner at the discrestion of my Executrix nothing doubting but that the General Resurrection I shall receive the same again by the mighty power of God and as touching such wordly estate wherewell it had pleased God to bless me in this life I give bequest and dispose of the same in the following manner and form. Imprimis, I give and bequeath to Ann my Dearly beloved wife Ann Lewis whomme I likewayse constitute make and ordain my only and sole executor of this my last will and testament all my lands, "..." and tenements to by her freely to be possessed and enjoyed and I do hereby utterly disallow revoke and disannul all and every other former testaments wills and legacies bequest and executors by me in anyway before this time named willed and bequeathed rattifying and confirming this and no other to be my last will and testament.
