C. Record of Estates, 1837-1841, page 3 Will of Daniel Ruff: ...wife Nancy-feather bed and furniture and a certain piece or parcel of land known on Blount's Creek by the Major Thomason land and one-half of my lands on Nevills Creek, to her and her heirs and assigns forever. Brother: Reddin Ruff the other half of my Nevil's Creek lands to him and his heirs and assigns forever if the perishable part of my property should not be sufficient to discharge my just debts then in that case my will is to sell so much as will satisfy them same out of my Nevil's Lands above named. I do also give my wife Nancy one sow and pigs and two bea Hives to her, her heirs, and assigns forever in witness hereof I hereunto set my hand and seal this 26 July, 1837.
