Beaufort County, NC, Samuel Adam's Will, 1807 File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives Carolyn Burgess Knott In the name of God amen I Samuel adams of the County of Beaufort being of sound mind and memory do make and treat ? this my last will in writig as follows- I give and bequeath unto my loving wife Nacy Adams my Young horse Harlequin Bridle and Saddle one Bed and Furniture and one Riding chair I also lend her all my Cattle and Hoggs until my youngest Child arrives to the age of twenty one years to Raise and Support the family on- I also lend her the use of my plantation whereon I now live her lifetie I give and bequeath to my son James adams my Negro Girl Louis and all the land that was devised to him at Goose Creek to him his heirs ad assigns forever- my Negro woman hatt I lend to my wife nancy Adams until my youngest child arives tot he age of twenty one then She and her increase to be Equally divided between my wife nancy adams and my two sons Harmond and Samuel adams then the remainder of my Land I give and bequeath to my two sons Harmond and Samuel adams to them their heirs and assigns for ever my old horse and my working tools I leave to be Sold in order to discharge my debts and the ballance to be Equally divided between my wife and all my children The moneys due from Andrew Fulerton and Elizh ?
