I, John Selvert, planter of ye province of North Carolina & ye County of Bath and parish of Hyde being sick of body but of good sound and perfect memory thanks be to God for it. First, I bequest my soul to God who gave it, me and my body to ye yearth there to be desently buried at ye discresion of my Extrs. I give my plantation on ye West side of Matchepungo to my brother Joseph Selivert to him and his heirs forever. I give to my father in law John White my negro man Harry untel my brother Darby Silwert is twenty one and then to my brother Derby Silvert and his heirs forever. I give to my sister Elizabeth two cows and calves. I give to my sister Grace Silwert two cows and calves I give to my sister Marget Silvert two cows and calves I give to my brother George White two cows and calves I give to my brother Joseph Silwert my horse bridle and sadle. I give my brother in law George White my case and bottes and the rest of my personable estate after my just debts is lawfully paid to be equally divided amongst my brothers and sistes and I do apoint my trew and trusty friends, Wm.
