David Samuelsen - March 2002 ************************************************************************ Beaufort County, NC; Vol 1, page 4 (original spelling retained) North Carolina In the name of God Amen I, John Squire of the precinct of Hyde, being of sound mind & perfect memory, praise be therfore given to Almighty God * calling to mind the uncertainty of this present life do make & ordain this my present last will and testament in manner & form following (viz) first and principally I comand my soul into the hands of the Almighty God, hoping thre the merits, death & passion of my Lord Saviour Jesus Christ to receive full & free pardon & forgiveness of all my sins, and to inherit eternal life, and my body I commit to the earth to be intered at the discretion of my Executrix hereinafter named, and as touching such small temporal Estate as it hath pleased God to bestow upon me, I do give and bequeath the same whollya nd absolutely unto my beloved wife Mary Squire whom I do appoint sole Executrix to this my said last will & testament and I do hereby revoke disannul & utterly make void all former wills, testaments, bequests, gifts or legacies by me at any time heretofore made.
