of E. A. Estes, this August the 14th 1890.  Also written
beneath that was: Miss Nancy Naylor, Finger, Tenn.

descendant of Elias Hawkins and Sarah Ann Easley, in
Brownsville, Haywood County., Tn.

A. S. Morris and Nancy Estes was married July the 23, 1875
E. A. Estes and M. J. Fowler was married October the 13, 1874
R.  H. Burns was married to W. J. Henry Dec. 27th 1885
William T. Morris and Kisia Lucretia Estes was married January 13. 1962
Charles Henry Estes and Nancy Mira Morris was married March the 15, 1864
Thomas Henry and Sarah Jane Estes was married May the 17th 1863
A.  D. Estes and Nellie Browder was married Dec. the 23, 1906

This has  been copied as written, including spelling.

NOTES:
They were of the Estes family from Granville Co .  All
the records on this and the next generation were in the
McNairy Co. Tn. Courthouse that burned in 1880   We
didn't even know my gggrandmother's maiden name, had
searched for years to no avail.  We thought the bible had
burned when my ggrandparents house burned in the late
1800's.

The inscriptions were so complete and readable, it was
unreal.  I use this story today as an encouragement to
reseachers who come into the library, ready to give up
because they can't find a certain record.  Don't ever
give up!  

This involved the Estes/Nevil families of Granville Co,
with an Estes marrying my Chas. Dorsey Jacocks whose
family were from Bertie.
