All of Segars Children but Aaron and Solomon were mentioned in the Orphan Accounts of Hertford County NC. William Mitchell was the only Mitchell in Hertford County in 1790 and Charity Mitchell the only Mitchell in Hertford County in 1800 (at least in the census), I would think they were probably parents of Segar who also lived in Hertford County. Based on a deed that was refiled in Hertford County May term 1832 by Segar Mitchell and his wife Mary that showed they had a deed to land sold to them by Aaron Hollomon and his wife, I believe that Mary was the daughter of Aaron Hollomon, thus the naming of her first son Aaron Mitchell.
