Know ye that we for and in consideration of the sum of fifty shillings for every hundred acres hereby granted paid unto our treasury by George BRYAN have given and granted and by these presents do give and grant unto the said George BRYAN a tract of land containing one hundred acres lying and being in our county of Bertie beginning at a pine Thomas MARINAIN? line and running N70° E96 poles along said line to Jesse JERNIGANS and James PURVIS corner then along said JERNIGANS and Jame BALIS? line N44° W280 poles down Petter HAYS line to a pine in Henry HILL dec'd line thenalong said HILLS and Thomas PAGES line S35° E237 poles to the first station as by the plat hereunto annexed doth appear together with all woods, waters, mines minerals hereditametnt and appurtenances to the said land belonging or apppurtaining. To hold to the said George BRYAN his heirs and assigns forever yielding and paying to us such sums of money yearly or otherwise as our general assembly from time to time may direct provided always that the said George BRYAN shall cause this gratn to be registerd in the registers office of our said county of bertie within tweleve months from the date hereof otherwise the same shall be void and of no effect. In testimoniy whereof we have caused the our letters to be made patents and our great seal to be hereunto affixed.
