Helen Modlin 1939 Location: This cemetery lies two miles from the town of Roxobel on the left side of the road leading from Roxabel to Rhodes place and approximately 1/2 mile from said road in the fields of the lands of Mrs. Sallie Bryant. (March,2000: Buck Parker of Roxobel says that there used to be an old house of Colt Bryant's near the Bryant Cemetery.) Baker, Clinton A. Feb 23, 1832 - Mar 14, 1907 (wife of Georgeanna Cox Barnes.(1834-1916) Her death certificate has her father as William Cox and mother Elizabeth Floyd. There is a good possibility she is also buried here.) Bryant, Luther Lawrence Oc 30, 1880 - Nov 18, 1831 Cox, Martha Jane June 18, 1841 - Feb 21, 1902 Daughter of George and Drucilla Cox Minton, Jeanie W. May 4, 1886 - Apr 18, 1914 Newsome, Laura Feb 27, 1850 - Aug 8, 1898 Rayford, Sarah Aug 8, 1909 - Dec 30, 1914 Womble, Thomas Jefferson June 6, 1846 - May 8, 1906 Additional notes: The Cox Family--Ezekiel S. Cox, John Cox, William Cox, and George Cox had grants of land in the area. (Father was Benjamin Cox d. 1804.)
