Bertie County NC DREW STATION CEMETERY File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by David Hoggard davidh@coastalnet.com The name "Drew Station" has been assigned at the time of posting simply because we don't know of another name for this cemetery. This cemetary is about half way between the Hope House and Drew Station. It is within sight of the Hope House on the east and the Drew Station / Indian Woods road to the West. The Roquist Poccosin Swamp is directly south. ( I think I'll get a GPS unit so I can post the Exact locations for these cemetaries ) There is a sandy ridge that runs from Windsor to Lewiston in this area. Hope House is sitting right on top of it!!!! This ridge contains many cemetaries. I went to 4 within 3 miles of Drew Station , All on this ridge. This site is in the edge of the woods. The trees have been cut all around it. and the Site is probably 200 feet by 150 feet square. There were many many graves sunken in with no markers, some had only iron pipes. Henry Parker PVT Co.
