(formally the Reuben J. Peele Family Cemetery) This cemetery is located on the right side of Harrell Siding Road about 2 miles from Roxobel toward Aulander and about one mile before the railroad crossing. January 15, 1926 d. March 21, 2009 (wife of Horace Judson Vick) When the farm was sold to the Baker Family, the area was surveyed and deeded as a cemetery. At that point, with the help of donations from family members, we put a fence around the cemetery, planted Crepe Myrtles, and placed a stone engraved with Peele-Vick Cemetery. This was done in 2000. The attached information is a result of research and conversations with living relatives and as far as we know is correct. The maintenance of the Peele-Vick Cemetery is done by Edith Vick Wallace and David Wallace. Notes for your information: On the 1939 WPA listing, there are some errors that need to be corrected: Alberta Elizabeth Baker Burkett was born on November 12, 1862 Benjamin Burkett was born June 4, 1853 Pennie Burkett was born on May 29, 1883 Lillie Peele Teaster died February 15, 1956 Ethel Roane Vick was born January 15, 1926 Some of this information was also recorded incorrectly on the Find A Grave website Edith Vick Wallace
