Bertie County NC Cemetery - Pierce Family (2 cemeteries) Contributed to USGenWeb Archives by: "Neil Baker" Location of graves: The road directly in front of Capeharts Church called the Capeharts church road, take the 1st dirt path on the right (called the Pearce-Pierce town road) about 1 mile on the left. There are obviously many others buried there with no markers. Joseph Patrick Pierce b. 3-5-1848 d. 3/2/1913 (son of William Hardy Pierce and Hester Thompson) M.A. Pierce b. 9/17/1893 d. 3/17/1921 Clarice Pierce (daughter of Sellie Pierce) Martha Pierce b. 2/11/1852 d. 10/15/1924 =============================================== Location: Castelloe Road (between the Midway community and Greens Cross Baptist Church) approx.. 1 mile from this dead end road, graves are located on the left of this road in a deeply wooded area ca 1/2 mile from road. No one could find it without someone to assist. I don't have the road number, but it's known as the Castelloe Road. This gravesite is on approx.. 1/4 acre of land with indications of many-many other's buried there, but only metal markers and wooden markers and a number of depressed areas.
