"Families in the Roxobel area first attended the Grace Church in Woodville, but by 1881, desired a church of their own. Feb 24, 1881, the Masonic Order deeded 1/2 acre of land on Church Street in Roxobel where "the Memorial Church Episcopal is". The earliest entry in the Church Register is August 14, 1881.
