Please note that this cemetary is in the woods and when I visited it after Hurricane Floyd, there are trees down and trees growing up in the cemetary. My Husband, daughter and myself cleaned up and cut trees and moved a lot of them in January of 1997. In January of 2000 we would like to clean it again and cut a right of way thru the woods to the cemetary to make it more accessible. We are waiting until Jan. because of snakes & pesky insects. Hopefully by then it will be cold enough that we won't have to worry about them. If any of the Bertie Genealogist or family members would like to help us it will be greatly appreciated. Also it will help to preserve the cemetary. I have photos of all the head stones, grave sites, and will share with anyone who wants one of them. Also in this listing, John Wesley Hall is my grandfather, Lillie Pearl Hall is his daughter, Dolly Hall is his sister. John Wesley's wife Lougenia Harrell Hall is buried in Conway, North Carolina. ======================== USGENWEB NOTICE: In keeping with our policy of providing free information on the Internet, data may be freely used by non-commercial entities, as long as this message remains on all copied material.
