To John Barber Constable Greeting.

Whereas James Currey hath made information to me that
Margrett Butler, Sister of Sd. James Currey in said
County,  Singlewoman is Delivered of a bastard Child&___?
The care? therefore in his Majesties Name to command you
to take the Body of the Margarett Butler & bring her
before me to be Examined Concerning the father of sd
Child, or to pay the fine & give security as the Law
Derutes? to keep sd Child of the parish.  Herein fail
not.


Given under my hand & Seal at Bertie afsd the 15th Day of
July Anno Dom 1768 & in the 8th? year of our Reign.
