                      COURT DECREED SALE (FREEMAN vs. COCHRAN)
   NOTICE is hereby given that in pursuance of a decree of the Honorable, the 
Superior Court of Bertie, on the fourth Monday in March, A.D. 1811, made in 
the cause there depending, wherein WILLIAM FREEMAN, complainant, and THOMAS 
COCHRAN, defendant; I shall expose to public sale, for ready money, on the 
premises, on Saturday, the 27th day of July next, a certain TRACT OF LAND, 
lying and being in the County of Bertie aforesaid containing by estimation
 304-1/2 acres, adjoining the lands of JAMES WILSON, JOHN DAVIDSON and others; 
it being that part of the lands bequeathed by THOMAS COCHRAN, the elder, to 
his sons EDWARD and THOMAS, which was divided off to THOMAS by Commissioners
appointed by the County Court of Bertie.
