Whereas Isaac P Freeman of the State of NCarolina &
county of Pasquotank executed to me on the 31st January
1837 a powr of attorny authorising & empowering me to
sell and convey all the lands in the county of Bertie to
which he was entitled under the last Will and Testament
of his Uncle William Freeman late of the State & County
of Bertie also to give deeds & other conveyance &
Receiptt & other acquittances for the same now therefore
know all men by these presents that Wm W Cherry of the
State of NCarolina & county of Bertie as virtue of the
aforesaid power of attorney for & in consideration of the
sum of Two hundred & fifty Dollars to me paid or secured
to be paid at or before the selling and delivering of
these presents the Recpt. whereof is hereby acknowledged
do bargain & sell alien convey & confirm & by those
presents have bargained & sold aliened conveyed &
confirmed unto Isaac P Freeman of the county State
aforesaid all the right title interest claim & remands
which the said Isaac P Freeman of Pasquotank has or may
have in & to the following tracts of Land under the said
will of William Freeman decd which tracts of land be & or
situate in the County of Bertie, viz, one tract bounded
by the lands of Celia Freeman I. P. Freeman & Joshua
Outlaws heirs Joseph Watford & the land of Wm Watford
estimated to contain nine acres more or less one third of
which is hereby conveyed also also one tract lying on the
West side of the Road leading from Windsor to Pitch
Landing called the Cabin Hill tract bounded by the Lands
of Celia Freeman Wm H Taylor & Aaron Askew Esqr estimated
to contain fifteen acres more or less, one third of which
is here conveyed  also one other tract on the north side 
Quiccosson Swamp bounded by the lands of Aaron Askew
Celia Freeman estimated to contain Eighty acres more or
less one third of which is also conveyed to have & to
hold the bargained premises with all the improvements &
appertenances to him the same I. P Freeman his heirs &
assigns forever. and I the said Wm W Cherry by virtue of
the aforesaid power of attorny as for myself my heirs
Executors administrators & assigns warrant secure &
forever defend the right & title Interest claim & removed
of him the same Isaac P Freeman of Pasquotank to be free
& clear from the lawfull claims or Incumbrances of any
person whatever unto the said Isaac P Freeman of Bertie
County his heirs Exers adms & assigns forever.

Given under my hand & Seal this the 25th day of February
1837

This deed from Wm W Cherry agent of Dr. I. P. Freeman was
acknowledged in open court by said Cherry & ordered to be
registered.
